The King is Here

(Enter In)

Can you remember one of those times when you were worshipping in church (or even anywhere else) and you just felt the presence of the Holy Spirit come over you… ...and if you tune in, you can even sense that the entire church is feeling it simultaneously. This song speaks of that special moment when Christ spiritually walks into the room…

It’s as if everything stops… you can feel the train of Christ’s robe touching you as He passes by. It’s a rare moment that I think of and cherish, when the King of the Universe lets you know He is here with you. I realize He is always with us… there are just certain times when you feel His overwhelming presence… transporting us into Heaven on Earth. The more we get away from our earthly trappings, the more we begin to feel the majesty of God. It’s like being in the throne room.

During that worship, the Lord gave us the line and melody for “The King is Here”. It just flowed and became the seed for this song. I hope it moves you like His Spirit moved us. What a feeling!

The King is Here (Enter In)

Awaiting glory, we tell His story
We shout our songs of praise
The Lamb has spoken, His body broken
An empty tomb we raise
Holiness and angels surround
Such majesty we fall to the ground

The King is here
The King is here
Holy Jesus, we welcome you… right here
The King is here
The King is here
Our Lord of mercy, how sweet the atmosphere, Enter In…

Lost in Your mystery, when love changed history
The day all Heaven cried
One holy ember, we will remember
The cross, You bled and died
The world will know Your victory & fame
Every knee will bow at Your name

The King is here
The King is here
Holy Jesus, we welcome you & cheer
The King is here
The King is here
Our Lord of mercy, how sweet the atmosphere, Enter In…
Instrumental

Your mist of change that roars like a fire
Keeps burning in the Spirit’s desire

The King is here
The King is here
Holy Jesus, we welcome you & cheer
The King is here
The King is here
Our Lord of mercy, how sweet the atmosphere, Enter In…

Enter in…
Enter in…
We praise You Lord, and long to live within
Enter in…
Enter in…
Lord of mercy, who saved us from our sin
Enter in…

The King is here
The King is here
Holy Jesus, we welcome you & cheer
The King is here
The King is here
Our Lord of mercy, how sweet the atmosphere, Enter In…

Behind the Music

I remember asking my friend Doana, about prophetic worship and how it may differ from traditional worship. She played me some samples of prophetic worship and I loved it!… it opened the eyes of my heart; providing an opportunity to respond to Him personally in a fresh new way. Bob Huff, Bob Cusick and I got together for some exciting days of songwriting. We agreed to kick off our week with a simple time of worship where we could explore where God might lead us. I wrote down and passed out some simple chord changes that we could follow so we’d stay somewhat together and then we just explored our (or His) options for where the Lord might take us. I recorded it so we could reflect on it later. It was a wonderful and freeing way to start our week together.

Behind the Video

I really enjoyed working on this video shoot. I was able to be totally free, emote and sing at the microphone without the added barrier of playing an instrument. Director, Bob Cusick filmed that actual worship and also came up with and edited the storyline that accompanies the worship. His concept really speaks to me and illustrates how our Lord is simultaneously everywhere, directing His angels and the Holy Spirit to act on our behalf.
